Holy variance batman. This time I took my money to Online Casino for their 300% bonus (same as Golden Palace). I decided that since my roll was looking alright I'd dabble in pontoon a bit since it has a ridiculously low house edge (0.17%). But holy hell does it have some variance. I was swinging all over the place and finally managed to bust out after wagering about $4600 of the required $8000. Oh well, time to take my money somewhere new. But let me say that if you're worried about losing money more than you're worried about squeezing every last dime out of these bonuses, stay as far away from pontoon as you can get.

Whoa! What a run. This time I took my $100 to Golden Palace casino which has recently made their bonus non-sticky. So after a quick phone call to customer support I got my account credited with the $300 bonus. I then managed to catch lightning in a bottle and nearly double up my roll to 795.50 after my $8 comp point bonus. Nearly 700 bucks for just a couple hours of work is not a bad deal at all.

Looks like Gilbert Arenas likes to take a load off playing online poker during halftime. If that's what it takes for him to keep cool, then more power to him. But I'm not sure how good I'd be going back in after taking a huge bad beat or something along those lines. Then again, when you're making as much as he is, maybe you can handle the losses a bit better. It'd be interesting to find out what limits he plays at, what sites he plays at, and whether or not he's any good. Who knows, maybe I've even played against him during one of his halftime sessions?

Well, today I did my whoring with Bet 365. They offer a very tasty 100% match on your first $200 deposit, with a WR of 10x for the bonus and deposit, meaning a WR of $4000. Seems like a lot, but I played 3 hands at a time, wagering $5 a piece and it flew by in just under two hours I think. All in all I came out with 432.50 after all the blackjack. Not too shabby at all, I don't think. And even better, these guys offer comp points at 1 per $10 wagered. Then you can convert every 100 of these points into a dollar. Not a whole lot, but I'll take an extra 4 dollars at the end of my whoring. So a grand total of 236.50 for no more than two hours of work is definitely not what I'd call a bad deal.

Party Poker has another reload bonus. I got the code "SPRINGBONUS25", which is a 25% bonus up to $100, with a 10x playthrough requirement over 7 days. Not too bad. I've heard a number of people also got "SPRINGBONUS15" which was a 15% bonus up to $100 with the same playthrough requirements. Not too bad a bonus either way, and if you have the bankroll it shouldn't make too much of a difference either way. If you don't have an account at Party Poker, I suggest you check it out. With good bonuses the best table selection on the net and some of the softest games, there's a reason many people, myself included, have made it their primary site.

Wired is running an article discussing the laws regarding online gaming and how it's putting advertisers between a rock and a hard place. While they are advertising services that are legal in their own districts, some advertisers are still facing suits taht their actions are illegal.
Now, as an avid online gambler, it shouldn't come as any surprise that I vehemently oppose any legislation attempting to stymie these practices. The US government is losing out bigtime by forcing the revenue generated by the sites outside of US shores. By bringing it into the US they could tax and regulate this, and their efforts are currently doing very little to actually keep people from gambling. It just seems to me that the justice department has many other things it could be doing that are far more important than trying to keep legal and consenting adults from gambling.

Well, this time around I went a-whoring at William Hill. Their site works in british pounds so it's not exaclty the same as the others. They offer a 50 pound matching bonus on your first deposit. I deposited $80 initially, which was not quite 50 pounds. So I ended up needing to deposit another $10 just to get the bonus, which ended up not being the full 50 pounds, but an amount matching my first deposit. Oh well, still profitable, and not a gigantic loss. So I made 2 pound bets this time, and it didn't take me too terribly long to clear the 1250 pound wagering requirement. I can't remember how many pounds I ended up with, but I've got $147 new dollars in my NETELLER account, so a profit of about $57 for just a couple of hours of work isn't too bad at all.

Well, having built up a pretty solid base bankroll for my whoring endeavors I decided to try to increase my hourly rate by bumping up my bets to $5 a piece. Of course, this also increases my variance a ton. Going from less than 1% chance of busting out to about 4% is a bit of a risk. But I decided that it was one I was willing to take in the interest of increasing my hourly rate. The less time I spend casino whoring, the more I can spend playing poker, or even just doing things not money related. So unfortunately I hit another bad string of luck playing at InterCasino and ended up cashing out $106 after clearing their $100 matching bonus. $6 of profit isn't too great, but hey, at least it's better than my first try. And it didn't take me as long either.

Well, it looks like my fortune changed as I had hoped, and gave me a little something extra just for fun. I ended up turning my $100 deposit + $100 bonus at PlanetLuck into $347. Not too bad at all for about 3 hours work if you ask me. I did the same thing as last time, betting $2 on every blackjack hand the whole time. If I can keep this up I should have more than a couple of bucks in the bank by the time this month finishes off.
